New Release: Live “Online Now” in SFR Analytics + SFR Analytics Hub

We have shipped a major usability update across both plugins:

• SFR Analytics is now 0.7.0
• SFR Analytics Hub is now 1.8.0

The headline feature is simple and useful: you can now check who is online right now, with clean controls built directly into the dashboard.

What is new

SFR Analytics (0.7.0)

• New Online Now panel in the dashboard
• One-click Check Online Now action
• Optional online-only auto-refresh (off by default)
• Auto-refresh intervals: 15s, 30s, 60s
• Online controls moved into a dedicated row for clearer UX

SFR Analytics Hub (1.8.0)

• New Total online summary across connected sites
• Per-site online counts from connected feeder sites
• New Active Sites Now mini-panel
• Optional online-only auto-refresh (off by default)
• Dedicated Online row in the dashboard for clearer separation from normal stats refresh

Why this matters

Until now, the dashboard was excellent for trend analysis and historical reporting. This release adds the missing “what is happening right now?” layer.

You can now:

• Check live visitor activity without leaving WordPress
• See which client or personal sites are active at this moment
• Use manual checks for lightweight operation, or turn on online-only auto-refresh when needed

Performance by design

We designed this to stay practical:

• Auto-refresh is off by default
• Refresh controls apply to Online only, not all dashboard stats
• The Hub aggregates online counts quickly across selected connected sites

How to use it

1. Update to SFR Analytics 0.7.0 on feeder sites.
2. Update to SFR Analytics Hub 1.8.0 on your hub site.
3. Open the dashboard and use the new Online Now row.
4. Click Check Online Now for on-demand checks, or enable Auto-refresh online.

Final note

This release keeps the core value of both plugins intact: privacy-focused analytics, local data ownership, and practical reporting that is easy to use day to day.
