How to Get Your Free 14-Day Trial Licence

This guide walks you through getting a free 14-day trial of any SFR Pro plugin, downloading it, and activating your licence.


Step 1: Request Your Free Trial

  1. Visit the plugin page for the Pro plugin you want to try
  2. Click “Get Free 14-Day Trial”
  3. Complete the checkout (no payment required)
  4. You’ll receive two emails:
    1. Account welcome email – with your login details
    1. Licence email – with your trial licence key and download links

Step 2: Set Up Your Account

You’ll receive a welcome email from Support From Richard that looks like this:

Welcome to Support From Richard

Hi [your username],

Thanks for creating an account on Support From Richard. Here’s a copy of your user details.

Username: [your username]

Set your new password ← Click this link

You can access your account area to view orders, change your password, and more via the link below:

My account

Action: Click the “Set your new password” link and create a password. You’ll use this to log in and manage your licences.


Step 3: Download the Pro Plugin

You can download your Pro plugin in two ways:

Option A: From the Licence Email

Your licence email includes direct download links for all Pro plugins. Find your plugin and click the link to download the .zip file.

Option B: From My Account

  1. Log in at https://supportfromrichard.co.uk/my-account/
  2. Go to Downloads
  3. Click Download next to your plugin

Step 4: Install the Plugin

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New
  3. Click Upload Plugin at the top
  4. Click Choose File and select the .zip file you downloaded
  5. Click Install Now
  6. Once installed, click Activate

Note: If you have the free version installed, you can keep it active or deactivate it – the Pro version works independently.


Step 5: Register Your Domain

Before you can activate your licence, you must first register your website domain.

  1. Log in at https://supportfromrichard.co.uk/my-account/
  2. Go to My Licences (direct link)
  3. Find your licence and click to expand it
  4. In the Add New Domain section, enter your website URL (e.g. https://mywebsite.com)
  5. Click Add Domain

You’ll see your domain appear in the list of registered domains for that licence.


Step 6: Activate Your Licence in WordPress

Once your domain is registered, you can activate the licence in WordPress.

Your licence email contains your licence key, which looks like this:

SFR-BRS-STD-LDM0-0FFJ-L7YA

To activate it:

  1. Go to your WordPress admin
  2. Navigate to the plugin’s Settings page:
    1. Book Review Showcase Pro: Book Reviews → Settings
    1. Directory Category Display Pro: Directory Categories → Settings
    1. Directory Map Pro: Directory Map → Settings
    1. Directory Analytics Pro: Directory Analytics → Settings
    1. Catalogue Display Pro: Catalogue Display → Settings
  3. Scroll down to the Licence Management section
  4. Enter your licence key in the Licence Key field
  5. Click Activate Licence

You’ll see a green “Active” confirmation along with the expiry date.

Important: If you try to activate without registering your domain first, you’ll receive an error message asking you to add the domain via the customer portal.


Managing Your Licences

You can view and manage all your licences from your account:

  1. Log in at https://supportfromrichard.co.uk/my-account/
  2. Go to My Licences (direct link)

From here you can:

  • View all your licence keys
  • See expiry dates
  • Add or remove website domains
  • Check activation status

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the trial last?

The trial lasts 14 days from the date of issue. After that, the Pro features will stop working, but your site won’t break – it simply reverts to free functionality.

Can I upgrade to a full licence?

Yes! Visit our shop to purchase a full licence. Your settings and data will be preserved when you enter the new licence key.

Can I use the trial on multiple sites?

Trial licences are limited to 1 site. If you need to test on multiple sites, please contact us.

What happens when my trial expires?

The Pro features will be disabled, but:

  • Your existing data and settings are preserved
  • The free version features continue to work
  • You can purchase a full licence at any time to reactivate Pro features

I didn’t receive my emails?

Check your spam/junk folder. If you still can’t find them:
