Kitsquad’s goal is to assist low-income people with getting out into the great outdoors to have awesome adventures. Kitsquad is the only UK based scheme that provides donated secondhand adventure gear to low-income individuals.
Richard was asked to create the website to give the new organisation a focal point. The client sourced photos and some of the text was copied from an existing successful Facebook page. The colour scheme was chosen to be bold but simple. A key element of the website was the contact form that allows visitors to make contact to provide donations and seek kit for their next adventure.
The website solution is WordPress which on this occasion is currently being used as a traditional blog. New features including a donations plugin and information about the stock of kt may be added in the future
The website is hosted by StablePoint on a monthly package. (Check out hosting companies in the Directory)
The main plugins used to deliver this website solution are:
Sydney Theme – the Sydney theme was used for this client to help them have a slick, uncluttered layout that would be easy to update and change in the future.
Rankmath – Search Engine Optimisation and more
PostX – layout plugin
WPForms – contact form
WP Fastest Cache
Testimonials – testimonial layout improvements
